Of blogs and bath houses
Craig Young now has a blog, which is PoMo and witty and gay. You should read it.
Whilst loitering on Craig's page, I could not but help notice the advertisement for Centurian, Sauna for Men, which apparently is "now air-conditioned." I am not familiar with the gay sauna scene and I don't like to quibble, but it strikes me that air-conditioning a sauna would be somewhat counter-productive. A sauna is meant to be hot and humid; a gay one especially so, I would have thought. Surely, air conditioning would ruin the party.
Perhaps the answers to this and other questions can be found on the GayNZ blogs, which can be found here.

Thank you, Paul. May I say that your own blog has long served as an inspiration to me, although I'd probably pop up a Will Mellor image than the occassional scantily clad woman...
Incidentally, please feel free to publicise the silly fundie Israeli oil exploration fiascos in Mother Jones, as noted in my blog.

Heat and sweatiness should be incurred during recreational bonking with a consenting partner, it's more pleasant that way. Air conditioning is nice when one has finished doing so, however.
Craig Y.
Not that I frequent such establishments myself, but I have heard that the smell of amyl nitrate can be quite overpowering in those places...
Amyl Nitrate! You must live in San Fran in the seventies me old darling. It's at least thirty years since I smelt amyl in a sauna
Is that pic of you at The Ministry Paul?
I never noticed the aircon there but I wish, to keep in harmony with the Roman bath house theme, there were a few slaves waving fans.
More (far too much information!) details here: http://uroskin.blogspot.com/2004/07/consumer-guide-for-sexually-active.html
Eric, it is Steve Jobs at Apple.
Amyl Nitrate? I recall a punk chanteuse of that name...
