The Guardian reports that British menswear chain Burton has been selling a t-shirt with a double-headed eagle design and a message in Russian which translates as "We will cleanse Russia of non-Russians!" So now blokes are wandering the streets of Blighty spreading the message of Russian Fascism (please note: the Fundy Post does not subscribe to the notion of 'neo-Fascism:' it hasn't changed; it is the same old Darkness), which probably wouldn't bother them that much. Whilst you ponder this thought, here is Goldfrapp:

When I went to Tokyo I was much looking forward to seeing curious English-language t-shirt slogans and I was not disappointed: a cheerful young arts student at Shinagawa Station wearing a blue tee that said, in yellow block letters, "I Don't Give a Fuck", for example. Nothing fascist, however.
The last time I was in London (four years ago) there was much talk in the music of Goldfrapp, who were novel and slightly menacing; even more so than Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
Much as I agree with you, the problem with using the bare term fascist is that it is such a perjorative (fascist = Nazi) that the minute you do so everyone starts looking at you sideways, since its received wisdom that we dealt with fascism 62 odd years ago. Trying to explain to people that fascism is alive and well in thinking today and they either think you are a) a crazy effete intellectual or b) a crazy communist who clearly hasn't read Francis Fukuyama or c) a crazty person who wants to take their richly deserved tax cut off them.
Nicely put. The term was further devalued by the left in the 70s, when radicals would call anyone who disagreed with them and/or was older than them a fascist.
i wondered when the habit of putting random bullshit for bullshits sake onto clothing would bite some one in the arse.

A trend continued by libertarians today. I dunno, I hear the word "fascist" these days and all I think of is Rik from the Young Ones...
Actually, I *did* once encounter fascist babies- reproduced from a French Front National poster, on the cover of a book about Monsieur
Le Pen's unpleasant organisation...

HI,I REALLY LIKE UR POST.ITS TOO GOOD.Too bad we don't have Target in Romania...it almost makes me cry...
I still can't wrap my head around why they would put that line there.
When I realized what she is singing in that moment of total bliss and beauty are the words "fascist baby" the song desintegrated in front of my inner ear.
Could never get into it the same way again.
Such a shame. Before that it was absolutely and positively going to be my all time favourite song.
Perfect bliss.
