The beautiful room is empty

This week's coolest thing on Internet is Blogger Play, which makes a slide-show thingy of pictures uploaded to Blogger pages. Sit back and watch the pretty pictures pass by. It is quite mesmerising.

This is what you learn about bloggers from their pictures: (a) they are not very interesting; (b) they have ugly babies.

On an unrelated but more interesting note, Edmund White has written a novel about Stephen Crane.

Photo from the blog of the Steffen family.

Why am I so strongly reminded of Alain de Botton's Status Anxiety by this, especially the picture you chose. Someone truly thought so much of this room that it needed to be shared with strangers.

My recent interior decoration efforts get seen by strangers, but only those who inflict themselves on me by knocking on my door and causing it to be opened. It is my revenge....

The room is empty which is nothing at all
so is the tomb which is something else entirely.

Andrei, you just can't resist coming over to a regular blog and dragging religion into things, can you?

:D

Sam my friend, the comment is to the point of the post, contains a cultural reference, and we all know Paul feels that those are sadly lacking in the rightosphere and does so without demonstrating Godwin's Law, unlike the 2nd comment on this post, which is a jolly good comment never-the-less.

The smiley above was an alternative to this, which is effective but can be interpreted as a insult to people's intelligence:

*~~*Sarcasm*~~*

Perhaps I need to find a way to make it blink?

The second comment invokes Mel Brookes, not the Nazis. Godwin is untroubled.
